Why are there no names on the patient listing?
To protect the privacy of GHS1 patients, we can not disclose Geisinger PrayerNet names to visitors. Instead, a code is given to each patient, or their personal representative.
How do I identify a patient?
Only the patient or the personal representative of the patient can give you the code to identify the patient. If you wish to receive the code or you have forgotten a code that you received, you must contact the patient or their personal representative.
How do I pray for a selected patient?
Check the box corresponding to the name and click to pray.
Can I pray for more than one patient?
You may pray for as many patients as you wish, as often as you wish.
How can I get updates on patients for whom I have been praying?
To get updates, go to the Patients Requesting Prayer page, click on the patient's code name and if an update is posted you will receive that information.
How do I contact the Intercessory Prayer staff?
Call 800-973-9840 or 570-271-5062. From inside Geisinger Medical Center dial Ext. 15064 to contact a member of the Intercessory Prayer Department.
